I think I am done

On logging in yesterday, I noticed that my corporation has joined Against ALL Anomalies in the Drone region. All my assets are still in LGK and I have no carrier.
Also I never intended to leave En Garde or AAA. My mood was pretty bad yesterday, I still have not decided what to do now. Options are:
  1. Leave Nullsec and join faction warfare
  2. Try to get into an other En Garde or AAA corporation
  3. Try to join Tr0pa de elite, Lee Chanka's corp. I always enjoyed flying with him and he might even remember me if I am lucky
  4. Stay with my corp and move to the Drone regions
  5.  Quit Eve
At the moment I must admit that I might chose option 5.  What would you do?

edit: why do I want to leave? There is a reason that is not to be found in the above text. The reason is: in the past (in text based MUDs)  I had to deal with developers that were playing themselves and they were giving their characters unfair advantages. I have the feeling this is also true for EVE. Many devs seem to be involved in the CFC or HBC. More than once did this show in the last months.
And this here incident is unacceptable for me. This is unprofessional and childish if it was done on purpose.

  1. First of all I wonder why you didn't got any information about that step before. Either you have been inactive for a long time or your leadership doesn't communicate well.

I've pulled my corp in and out of many 0.0 spaces now. (Members already joking about a delivery service since our logistics runs pretty smooth)

If it was the fault of your corp leaders to comunicate that step, you should find another corp and pay them a visit from time to time.
If it was your fault on communication (no one should be left behind, if someone can't move his stuff on his own he asks someone in corp and gets help, that's how it works in my corp) you should work on that one or maybe realy quit eve.

From my personal perspective, I have too many good friends I wouldn't want to miss so quiting eve is not much of an option. maybe taking a break. But I'm not in your situation.

    1. Thanks for the answer. Both is true. For the last 1.5 years I played Eve almost every day. Communication from my corp was always (nearly) non-existant. Even when I wrote mails (it was less than 5 in all the time, only when it was urgent) I never even got an answer.
Most of my time was spent in AAA fleets (or sometimes ratting) anyway.
But I also was rather inactive the last 2 weeks. But they never wrote a mail. Only one when the move was already finished. Considering that I was one of the most active pilots, this is indeed frustrating. I logged in every day to check mails, but there was nothing.

  2. Don't quit. Do what I did when zero space alliances stabbed me in the back and come to low sec! No pressure, no CTAs, no sov or structure grind, just pure PvP fighting. And you can raid null whenever you want and shoot them!

Seriously, think about joining Tuskers, or Shadow Cartel, or RnK, there is someone for whatever playstyle you might be interested in. If you want to talk about it more feel free to contact me in or out of game and I can help you find the best place.

But don't give up. There is fun to be had in Eve.

    1. Thank you Sir, it means a lot to me.
I will probably do exactly that. Lowsec. Most probably with faction warfare. Up to now I never tried that, because I don't exploit broken game mechanis. Now it seems to be fixed and I was always interested to join in anyway.
The hard part is, that all my assets are in LGK station. Roundabout 10-15 billion ISK in ships and modules I guess. Not much for some, but all I have.
I will probably have to skill up to carrier and jump the stuff out when done.
Thanks again for your kind words, I will really think about it.

  4. I agree with Rixx, even though I will lose you as a corp mate, GO where the fun is. If where you are is frustrating, take it as a sign

    1. I still have not decided. Talked to Laz yesterday a bit, at least I now understand what was going on.
Reference...google says "The Jeffersons", but that does indeed not ring a bell.

    2. I think that "The Jeffersons" were never on TV in Germany :)

    1. join Novatech and Lahari, yes that would be an option.
But I must admit that I am not so sure about AAA anymore. They don't even replace the CTA ships...would be ok if they said "hey we can't afford"...but they seem to just ignore it. Like they ignore a lot of other things too.

  6. Trebron - you can also put too much pressure on yourself in EvE, both in expectation of how much time you can put in and in what you want to achieve...

"For the last 1.5 years I played Eve almost every day".

I was like that too. But RL put a spanner in that works pretty quickly. As has been said above, go where the fun is. You might just need to figure out what that is now. EvE at least has a truck load of different things to do/try.

Lastly, given the comments above, it's pretty obvious you've made some real connections in game. It would be a shame to let that all go. Keep flying.

    1. It is not as "bad" as it sounds, the "every day" part. I don't talk about "all day". I DO have a real life, I work 50 hours a week, have a wife, my own house and other hobbies too.
